Bubbles or a list: browsing your Elite food diary

Author: ·

Elite lets you explore saved meals as bubbles or a list. Both are ways of looking at your diary; the useful choice depends on what you want to find right now. Bubbles can be a starting point when you recognise a meal by its picture. A list is useful when you prefer reading entries one after another in a more structured layout.

Start with one question

Before opening your history, name what you are looking for. Perhaps you want to remember yesterday’s lunch or check whether a particular meal was recorded. One question makes it easier to choose a view and avoid aimless scrolling. You do not need to analyse a whole day or draw a nutrition conclusion from every entry each time you open the diary.

Bubbles: when the picture is your reference

The bubble view suits browsing by visual recognition. Imagine that you remember a bowl of pasta but not the words used when saving it. Start with the visual overview and look for the familiar meal. The photo acts as a memory cue here; dishes that look alike do not necessarily contain the same ingredients or represent the same portion.

A list: when you want to read entries in turn

Choose the list if reading one entry after another helps you find your way through the diary. This can be useful when checking whether a recorded meal is the one you had in mind. Take time to read the available information rather than judging the day only by its pictures. Changing the presentation does not make the saved information more accurate.

A small example: which pasta meal?

Suppose your diary contains two similar pasta photos. Bubbles can help you start by recognising the image, while a list may make it easier to read the records carefully. Compare what the entries actually contain. Do not invent a sauce or portion size if you cannot remember it. This is an example of using your history, not a method for comparing nutritional values.

The view does not change an AI estimate

AI calorie suggestions remain approximate in either view. Before saving, Elite lets you review a suggestion, adjust it or enter your own value. Looking at the record later does not turn that estimate into a measurement. Treat the diary as a record with a particular context, without labelling meals good or bad on the basis of a single number.

Choose a comfortable way to return

You can begin with bubbles when you remember an image and use the list when you want to read entries. There is no need to commit to one view forever or add a meal again just for another presentation. Continued meal logging after introductory access requires Premium; monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically. Check the current terms before buying.
